Norma O'Hara Murphy

For those of you not familiar with Norma's history! a short Biography on our hostess- Norma is retired (but not quite) this talented Aussie is the real deal- born in the bush, with a life long love of horses- this Lady has done it all from Show Jumping-to Camp Drafting, to riding in a real Race! to driving Trotters-breeding top class Qtr horses with her Stallion (Roc Again) until he passed away a few years ago. Norma has had a life long passion for horses-shown here competing in the Celebrity cutting in Tamworth, in 1993-as Female Vocalist of the year. Norma's musical career has taken her around the world- around Australia - from Sydney Opera House-to the outback & beyond. Also representing Australia in China & Japan - as well as touring the UK/Ireland . But very hard to pry this Lady away from her country roots-& her beloved bush! Now semi retired Norma no longer tours-lives in Southern Qld- but still writing songs- a new album is in the wind!! and this Bony Mountain Festival is a very special project! This is fifteenth year! so a big milestone! One special brand new song (Depot Hill) inspired by Rockhampton mates- is gonna be recorded soon!

Lots of Garden jobs to be done! anyone who enjoys Gardening/watering/weeding/ we've had lots of rain- lots of growth, also mulching is another job! We do have Accom here- or pull in with your Caravan? & if you are in the area/passing through? well pop in for a few days- we'd love to see you! And any Volunteers are guaranteed free entry at Festival time! Springtime now & I want to do some planting! - we will be burning off in cooler months! we are expecting a few helpers during winter months - but everyone is welcome! OUR 15TH YEAR FOR 2025. It was Norma's dream to hold a Festival on her property & invite everyone! Well I guess that worked out! This very talented Australian needs no introduction to many country music fans in Australia having won some of Australia's most prestigious Awards- including ARIA finalist-APRA Awards- many Songwriting accolades- several Gold Guitars, plus many others Still writing & recording but live performances are rare! Bony Mountain is one place you can always see Norma (live) - NORMA ONSTAGE AT INAUGURAL FESTIVAL-2011

Michelle is also a qualified health professional-all get involved each year- Ben is Norma's youngest- lives on the property- runs The Shack-maintains the Festival site & has supported his Mum since day one. for 2025 will be Site Manager-also Managing (The Shack). -Ben has toured Internationally with his Mum -is a talented musician.
